Lee grabbed his paints and easel and headed to Desert View at the Grand Canyon on the South Rim. He settled on painting the Watchtower as it is recognized as a National Historic Landmark. Constructed in 1932, architect Mary Colter’s design takes its influences from the architecture of the Ancestral Pueblo people of the Colorado Plateau. The view from the Watchtower is a spectacular overlook of the Eastern portion of the Canyon. The print is 11″x14″
