The Pebbles band adds natural texture, and the large Amethyst brings strong colour. Because the design is wide and balanced, it works well for larger finger sizes or for index and middle fingers. Design & Feel I build the Pebbles band by fusing small pieces of Argentium silver into a textured surface. The form stays wide at the front and tapers at the back for comfort. The size of the gemstone pairs well with the strong band, so the ring feels solid and steady. Argentium Heat & Finish Because this ring is made with Argentium silver, I then heat-treat the piece to activate the germanium oxide layer. This treatment raises hardness and increases tarnish resistance. After the treatment, I set the gemstone in the bezel and give a final polish for clarity and shine. About the Amethyst This Amethyst is 11.5 carats and cut in a rectangle with a checkerboard pattern. The cut adds bright flashes of colour and keeps the stone lively.
